It was during his Thanksgiving halftime show performance that Post Malone paid tribute to late NFL star Marshawn Kneeland.
On Thursday (11.27,) at the AT&T Stadium in Texas between the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs, the superstar singer/songwriter delivered an emotional tribute to the fallen American football player who took his own life at the age of 24 in the early hours of November 6.
According to local police, Kneeland died hours after state troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety attempted to stop his car for a traffic violation, subsequent to which he allegedly evaded officers, crashed his vehicle and later fled.
Following his performance, Malone expressed his affection for the Texas team by saying:
“I love you so very much, Dallas, Texas.” “Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the best team in the world, the Dallas Cowboys.” “I hope everyone has a great night, I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving, and I love you more than I can ever say.” “We love you 94.”
Paying respect to the NFL star, Post had the number 94 written on the side of his jacket.
In recent games, the Dallas Cowboys have been honoring their late teammate by displaying a number 94 decal on their helmets, wearing shirts featuring his image and holding moments of silence.
