During a special week of episodes celebrating Women’s History Month, Pink is set to guest host The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Following last week’s announcement that The Kelly Clarkson Show would end with the current seventh season, the singer (born Alecia Beth Moore) is the first guest host to be announced.
While production on the current day time talk show season would continue as usual, with Clarkson hosting, the superstar singer/host will, however, be taking some time off.
According to the show’s TV station NBC, come March 2, Pink’s guest-host stint will celebrate women’s achievements, resilience and impact across music, culture and community, with the week’s worth of show’s dedicated to celebrating women who inspire change, break barriers and uplift one another.
In a press release from the show’s producers, Clarkson said “The only thing that bums me out about Pink hosting a week of The Kelly Clarkson Show is that I’m not going to be able to be there to watch her.” “I have been a fan for so long and have always been inspired by her music and her person. I love her!”
“I’ve played stadiums and danced on the side of buildings, but stepping in to guest host for my girl Kelly Clarkson is a brand new feat!” “Let’s celebrate women, joy, resilience and whatever else comes our way!,” added P!nk.
