Performing last year’s collaborative “Runaway Horses,”Phoebe Bridgers and the Killers joined forces at the Colours of Ostrava Festival in the Czech Republic.
The first time Bridgers and Killers frontman Brandon Flowers have sung the track live, the composition is included in the rock band’s recent album, Pressure Machine.
Produced by the band with Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, Pressure Machine (2021) is the Killers’ seventh full-length LP. Inspired by his Brandon’s early years in a remote Utah town, the full length is a concept record about life in Nephi told from the vantage point of various townspeople.
Currently on tour, Bridgers recently teamed up with Clairo onstage in Milan and she’ll appear on Marcus Mumford’s forthcoming solo album, (self-titled), due out September 16. She also recently covered the Carpenters 1972 single “Goodbye to Love” for the soundtrack to animated film Minions: The Rise of Gru.
