P. Diddy Violates Jail Rules

After the disgraced rapper re-applied for bail, on November 8 Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was accused of attempting to “influence a potential jury” while behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

According to the prosecution, the now 55-year-old embattled musician attempted to “evade law enforcement monitoring” and “corruptly influence witness testimony.” In court documents obtained by People, attorneys for the state have accused Combs of using other inmates’ phone access and a “non-authorized third-party messaging service” to communicate with multiple people along with using his children as part of a “social media campaign” for his recent birthday.

The documents claim that “the defendant enlisted family members to plan and execute a social media campaign around the defendant’s birthday, with the intention of influencing the potential jury in this criminal proceeding.” “At the defendant’s carefully curated direction, the defendant’s children posted a video to their respective social media accounts showing the defendant’s children gathered to celebrate the defendant’s birthday.”

The court papers allege that Combs “monitored the analytics” of the social media footage and “explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case.”

After being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, P. Diddy is awaiting trial. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
