Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Show

For his highly-anticipated last show ever, 40,000 fans packed out Villa Park in Birmingham to watch Ozzy Osbourne

Known as the inventors of metal, Black Sabbath took the stage for the final time, as fireworks burst over the pitch and the live audience were treated to such hit songs as ‘War Pigs,’ ‘NIB,’ ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Paranoid’ with another 5,800.000 fans viewing via livestream.

As Osbourne remained seated for the four-song set, drummer Bill Ward, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler joined the legendary frontman on the revolving stage.

Prior to performing ‘Paranoid’ Ozzy said “Unfortunately, we’ve come to our last song, ever.” “Go f**king crazy! Come on!”

Though it looked as though he might’ve been forced into retirement without a proper send-off after a frustrating series of setbacks, including illness and Covid lockdowns, thanks to the efforts of his wife, Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy got to headline at what has been described as the biggest event in heavy metal history.

Introduced by Jason Momoa, the Back to the Beginning event included Black Sabbath, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Gojira and Anthrax.
