Returning to the stage for the first time since being shot outside a Florida casino on April 6, Offset made his live performance comeback at Rowfest in Arkansas on Saturday (4.11.)
Taking to Instagram, the former Migos rapper (born Kiari Cephus,) posted footage of him being rolled onto the stage in a wheelchair before triumphantly standing up and managing to perform vertical for a portion of his set.
Accompanied by a carousel of photos relaxing by a swimming pool, the 34-year old captioned the video “REAL LOVE.” and “God is Good Thank you.”
It was following last week’s altercation outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida that the Georgia native was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and released two days before his performance.
Issuing his first Instagram statement on Friday (4.10,) about the incident, the musician wrote:
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good…. but I’m planning to be better.” “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music…. realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…” “Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”
While no one’s has been formally charged with the shooting as of yet, fellow rapper Tione Jayden Merritt (pka Lil Tjay) was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident and released from custody the same day.
