Object Hits Eric Clapton In Concert

After being hit by a flying object, Eric Clapton‘s May 7 Madrid concert was cut short right after the superstar performed ‘Cocaine’ at the Movistar Arena.

In the words of a fan at the show an “audience member threw a record at Eric near the end of the show, striking him in the chest.”

Though Clapton appeared to be fine after the incident, video clips are circulating online that appear to show a vinyl sleeve hitting the musician him in the chest as he walks off the stage without performing his encore.

Moving forward, the iconic 81-year old musician will be performing at Sandringham this summer where he’ll play a one-off concert at the royal residence in Norfolk, as part of the HeritageLive series, which returns to The Sandringham Estate between August 20 and 23.

In a formal statement from Giles Cooper of HeritageLive Festivals commented:

“Eric Clapton is one of the greatest musicians of all time and it’s a dream come true for all of us at HeritageLive Festivals to have him play at The Sandringham Estate for us next August.” “It’s going to be such a special and unique event – one of those gigs where you say in years to come ‘I was there!’. We just can’t wait!”
