Some ten years since the Anaheim-formed pop-ska group performed as one, No Doubt will be reunite for Coachella 2024.
The iconic quartet’s forthcoming reunion was announced on Tuesday (1.16) as part of the annual festival’s lineup, which included headliners Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat. The April event will also include Blur’s first North American show in nine years, and Sublime will reunite with Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob as lead singer.
While the Coachella announcement did not specify which members of No Doubt would be performing, the group took to social media with Stefani reminiscing and sharing artwork from 1995’s album Beacon Street Collection. The superstar singer messaged bassist Tony Kanal who got the rest of the band on the call. And with the full group on video chat – including guitarist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young – Stefani asked, “What are we doing? Why do we not hang out?” In response, each member agreed that a proper reunion was in the cards.
Scheduled to take place in Indio, California during the weekends of April 12 -14 and April 19 – 21, Coachella 2024 will also feature Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert and Deftones, along with J Balvin, Peso Pluma, and Bizarrap, continuing a trend of Latin artists performing at the event.
