Nick Jonas Cast In KISS Biopic

Following the announcement that Nick Jonas was cast as a lead in a biopic movie about the iconic glam-rock band, KISS fans have expressed profound disappointment.

Set to be helmed by Charlie’s Angels and Transformers director, McG, the Jonas Brother-member has signed on to play frontman Paul Stanley in the KISS movie, Shout It Out Loud.

Believing that his clean-cut image clashed with the rock and roll aesthetic, fans of the 1970s-born group were quick to express confusion and in some cases displeasure over the Jonas involvement.

“This casting just assures I will never watch this,” commented one person on Reddit, with another adding, “Oh f**k no” and a third penning, “Absolutely not, that’s awful”. “Absoultely (sic) ridiculous casting,” a commenter declared. “But then we are talking about the band who replaced their lead guitarist with a roadie.”

Other social media pundits noted the band had enjoyed its fair share of controversy throughout the years with several of its members admitting that their star status facilitated them sleeping with up to 5,000 women, while the band also caught flak for marketing a KISS-themed coffin.

Elsewhere, fan(atics) complained about too many music biopics including movies about the lives of Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley and Amy Winehouse were all released in the last two years.

“I’m sure a lot of people must love them but I cannot describe how happy I would be if they just stopped making most musician biopics,” one wrote.
