In support of their first ever residency, the New Kids On The Block are heading to Las Vegas.
From June 20 thru July 5 and from November 1 thru November 15, the legendary ‘boy band’ will launch ‘The Right Stuff’ series of concerts next summer at the Dolby Live at Park MGM.
In a statement about their forthcoming Nevada commitment, band member Donnie Wahlberg said:
“We cherish every opportunity that we get to perform for our fans, but a Las Vegas residency gives us an opportunity to take our performance, and interaction with our fans, to the next level …” “We plan on maximizing everything that the amazing Dolby Live at Park MGM has to offer, to create the most incredible NKOTB concert ever.” “As well as everything that Las Vegas has to offer – to create multiple events to directly engage with our fans. Las Vegas will never be the same after the New Kids and the Blockheads take over the town.”
On Thursday (9.19,) ahead of a planned performance at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival the following day, the iconic quintet announced the news at a fan event in Las Vegas.
The NKOTB residency news comes after the group released ‘Still Kids,’ their first studio LP in eleven years in May and the completed their ‘Magic Summer Tour’ in August, with performances in Dallas, Texas, Tampa, Florida and Inglewood, California as well as a pair of shows in Canada.
About their latest full length Wahlberg stated “It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made. Yet it’s the most fun and most comfortable album we’ve ever made.” “This album, more than any other, is bringing the New Kids and the fans full circle. It’s about hope and possibilities and being ourselves.”
Tickets for the New Kids On The Block Las Vegas shows go on sale on September 27.
