Revealing the star-studded track listing for her sixth studio LP, Karol G has confirmed collaborations with Drake and Bruno Mars.
In addition to the aforementioned superstars Judeline and Rusowsky appear on ‘Bby Wow,’ as ‘Cigarettes After Sex’ vocalist and guitarist Greg Gonzalez plays on and co-wrote the album closer, ‘Después de Ti,’ which they performed at Coachella in April.
During recent Toronto performance Karol told her fans “I have an announcement to share, Toronto, and after this, I have a gift for you, too. I’ve been working on a project for a couple of months.” And revealing that she’d been working on new music for months, and feeling excited to share the project, which drops on August 7, she added “I’ve been locked in for months making new music. For months, I’ve been preparing a segment that will form part of this tour. I want to announce that on August 7, my new album will come out.” “It’s an album that I can’t wait to sing with all of you. It’s called No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto.”
Enhancing the excitement about his collaboration, Drake actually attended the concert and appeared on the big screen.
Born Carolina Giraldo Navarro, the 35-year old Colombian musician stated that she “found purpose through [her] music,” and while accepting the International Artist Award of Excellence at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas in May, said:
“Wow. What an honor, John, that you gave me this award. It’s a legend. This is going to be a legend moment in my career, for sure.” “I feel very, very grateful. First of all, thank you, God. He allows me to live the most incredible, amazing experience in my life. I want to say that more than anything, this career has given me the most important thing in my life: purpose.” “I found purpose through my music. I’m just happy that I can perform a song, and I can say things in my songs that become a voice for a lot of people. A healing place, a safe place, and I just think that my life is meaningful because of my music and to help others through it.”
