It was during her Thursday (6.19) performance in Paris that Beyoncé surprised her fans by bringing out Miley Cyrus for a duet of ‘II Most Wanted.’
After she was seen arriving at the Stade de France earlier that afternoon rumors started to circulate that Cyrus would make a special appearance at the superstar’s Cowboy Carter Tour show. And it was amid the concert that Bey wowed the sold-out crowd by introducing Miley to the stage, saying:
“I’m so excited because I wanted to do something very special for you guys.” “I could not do it without this young lady’s help, so I need you to scream as loud as you can. I want y’all for this icon.”
As Miley appeared, Beyoncé said “I’m your biggest fan. I love you. I’m so grateful to watch you, to sing with you, Miss Miley Cyrus.”
Included in her on the 2024 Cowboy Carter LP, ‘II Most Wanted.’ also won Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
During her 2024 W Magazine interview, Miley discussed how the collaboration came about, stating:
“I wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago. My mom would always go, ‘I love that song so much.’ So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship. I told her, ‘We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country.’ I said, ‘You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.’ Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true.”
