Addressing her recent memoir, Britney Spears has confirmed Michelle Williams as narrator.
With Britney recording the introduction, the audiobook for the highly anticipated The Woman in Me biography will be predominantly voiced by the Oscar-nominated actress,
In a statement to People, Spears said
“This book has been a labour of love and all the emotions that come with it.” “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.” “I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”
Confirming her involvement in the project, Williams stated “I stand with Britney.”
Following Britney’s protracted conservatorship termination after which she regained control of her personal life and finances, information about the autobiographical book first broke in 2022.
“The impact of sharing?her voice – her truth – was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others,” reads the synopsis. “The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey – and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.”
The Woman in Me is scheduled for release on October 24.
