During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Meghan Trainor thought she was having a miscarriage.
Just prior to appearing on the late night talk show, the superstar singer/songwriter singer found out that she was pregnant with her second child, Barry,
In an interview with Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals, Meghan said “That morning I was stoked, beaming of joy, I videotaped it.” “I did interviews and they were like, ‘How are you?’ ‘I’m thriving.’ I was so happy.” Adding that “Right before her last interview” she “looked down” and was “gushing blood” and had “ruined a chair”. “I go, ‘Oh no,’ and they’re like ‘Okay, Ryan Seacrest is on. Go!'”
She continued “I did that whole interview like, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry’ and then got through it.” “I shut the computer and was like, ‘Hey team I think I’m miscarrying right now.’ I was like, ‘I had a baby this morning, and now they’re gone.'”
Several pregnancy tests and blood test all confirmed she was still pregnant with her son Barry, who was born in July 2023.
Married to Daryl Sabara since 2018, Meghan’s first child, Riley (3) was born via cesarean section, which caused the singer to suffer from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
In an interview with People, Trainor said “Usually when you’re being sewn up for 45 minutes, you’re like, ‘Look at my gorgeous baby. We did it. This is everything.’ But I was laying there alone.” “I couldn’t go to sleep at night. I would be in tears and tell Daryl, ‘I’m still on that table, dude. I’m trapped there. I can’t remind myself I’m in bed and I’m safe at home,” she said. “I had to learn how traumatic it was.”
