The video for Meek Mill‘s take on Drake and Rick Ross‘ hit single “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” has arrived.
The Carters Vision-directed video finds the rapper in his hometown of Philadelphia hopping into jewelry stores, and riding his motorcycle around the city’s streets as he puts down his own version of the Scary Hours 2 track.
Following Mill’s most recent album Championships in 2018, the outspoken musician has launched a slew of solo EPs and songs, including his 2020 Quarantine Pack track “Otherside of America,” and the Justin Timberlake-assisted “Believe.” Though Mill hasn’t released a new album in some three years, he took to Twitter this week to say “This summer, I’ma terrorize this rap shit.”
When it was released in March, the original version of “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” by Drake and Rick Ross reached #3 on the Rolling Stone Top 100 Songs List and that week, all three Scary Hours 2 albums topped the chart, with “What’s Next” at #1 and “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby at #2.
