Releasing their first piece of new music since the 2012 album North. Matchbox Twenty drop “Wild Dogs (Running In A Slow Dream),” the first song from their forthcoming Where the Light Goes LP due out May 26 via Atlantic Records.
In the eleven years prior to North, the band’s frontman Rob Thomas released his fourth solo LP, Chip Tooth Smile, (2019) and reunited with Santana for the single, “Move” in 2021.
In support of the new full length, Matchbox Twenty will embark on their Slow Dream Tour, a 50+ date spring and summer trek that kicks off at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC (May 16) and wraps up at Chicago’s Hollywood Casino Amphitheater (August 6.)
The Slow Dream Tour is the band’s first since 2017’s A Brief History of Everything tour, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Yourself or Someone Like You.
Tickets are currently on sale via the band’s website and fans can also purchase limited-edition “instant” collectible CD sets and digital downloads from each tour show via Ticketmaster for a $5 discount when they purchase tickets. VIP ticket buyers will receive a free download card with their purchase of every VIP package.
