In response to a question about Jeff Bezos‘s recent wedding, Mariah Carey‘s comment has gone viral.
While a bevy of celebrities – including Kim Kardashian and Orlando Bloom – attended the lavish three-day June celebration for the Amazon founder and former journalist Lauren Sánchez in Venice, Italy, earlier this week, a clip showing a photographer running into Mariah was posted to the Paparazzi Videos TikTok account.
As the superstar singer/songwriter was spotted walking with her entourage in Malibu, California, when the camera man asked “What did you think about Jeff Bezos’s wedding?,” Mariah replied “I wasn’t there.”
When Carey was asked “Were you not invited or what?,” the songstress sharply responded “Oh, don’t turn this into that.”
When the footage went viral, many-a-fan compared Mariah’s remark to the time she stated, “I don’t know her,” when asked about Jennifer Lopez back in 2003.
“She doesn’t know them,” one follower joked in the comments section, while another wrote, “I was waiting for her to say…… I don’t know them,” and a third exclaimed “Haha she doesn’t care about Bezos wedding, she’s Mariah Carey!”
