For the first time in eight years, Mariah Carey is planning a 2026 tour across the Atlantic to include stops at The O2 in London and Manchester’s Co-op Live.
According to England’s Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column “It’s been a long time since UK fans got to see Mariah perform her festive classics, but the wait is nearly over.” “After years of playing seasonal shows only in America, she’s about to announce a whole European Christmas tour.”
The 56-years-old songstress, who dropped her most recent album Here For It All in September of 2025 – told Variety “I’m definitely recording new music and I’m very excited about it. And yeah, I’m kind of like always recording new music, but I hope it will do well and people will like it. But yeah, new music.”
Asked if she is working on a new album, she laughed: “When I say that, people get upset with me,” and still hoping to release her lost grunge LP, Someone’s Ugly Daughter, she’s just not sure when.
When questioned if her lead vocals will be released, Mariah replied “Well, I want to have this happen, but you know, I gotta wait.” “I don’t know. I just literally have to wait a minute and put it out. And I’m going to do it. I’m going to do it. It’s just, you know, a whole thing.”
Addressing plans for the 25th anniversary of her Glitter movie, that initially flopped at the box office, its soundtrack subsequently earned such a devoted following that fans launched a Justice For Glitter campaign in 2018 that ultimately pushed the LP back onto charts around the world.
Asked how she’s going to mark the milestone, the native New Yorker said “Plans for a deluxe and a reissue, or maybe just one, I don’t know. We’re getting on top of it. I’m excited about it.”
Because of its poor performance, Mariah didn’t like Glitter, but she learned to love it, adding “I used to hate it. I used to be so like, why did I do that? And then, you know, it became something that I really loved and it just sort of took on its own thing.” And when asked why, she simply stated “Because it was a disastrous flop.”
