According to Page Six of the New York Post newspaper, while Mariah Carey was on vacation in Capri, Italy and in a $20 million mansion in the Hamptons, her Atlanta home was burglarized.
While local police have confirmed the break-in, because “this is still an open investigation, the information may be limited.”
According to filed documents, in November 2021 a trust, using the same name as several other Carey properties and business interests, purchased the $5,650,000.00 Georgia mansion and its nine-bedrooms, 13-bathrooms, a pool, tennis court plus a playground.
Perhaps alerting thieves that the house would be vacant, the superstar singer/songwriter took to Instagram and posted a number of pictures hanging out on a yacht and frolicking in the sea.
On July 25, the self-titled ‘Queen of Christmas’ also used social media to promote real estate company Nestseekers for helping her find a Hamptons rental, writing “Out East for the week, soaking it all in.” Currently on the market for $20,000,000.00, Carey paid more than six figures for her two week stay at the Water Mill home, dubbed Eagles Point.
Ay press time Carey’s reps did not respond to request for comment about the burglary.
