Following a litany of hits between them, Mariah Carey reunites with production superstars, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis for “Somewhat Loved.”
The next song from the producer’s upcoming album Jam & Lewis: Volume 1, the producers and the artist spoke about their latest collaboration.
“Before we began #JamAndLewisVol1, we compiled a wishlist of all our favorite artists. The opportunity to reconnect with our buddy @MariahCarey was pure dream fulfillment,” the duo tweeted on Wednesday. “Collaborating with Jimmy and Terry over the years has been one of the most incredible creative journeys I’ve ever taken,” Mariah said. “It’s an incredible honor for me to be a part of this once-in-a-generation album!”
Scheduled for a June 10 release, “Somewhat Loved” is the latest single from Jam & Lewis Vol. 1, the duo’s first album as recording artists featuring a who’s who list of famous R&B hitmakers for whom they’ve created songs throughout the years. Prior to the the Mariah Carey collaboration, Jam & Lewis released “He Don’t Know Nothin’ About It” featuring Babyface, and “Til I Found You,” which included vocals by Sounds of Blackness, Ann Nesby, Big Jim Wright, and Lauren Evans.
