Madonna’s Times Square Performance

On Thursday (6.04,) in a previously unannounced performance that attracted 50,000+ fans, Madonna sent Times Square ablaze when she debuted her brand-new ‘Love Sensation’ single.

Dropped the track on streaming platforms hours later, the Queen of Pop’s surprise gig, in partnership with the LGBTQ+ dating app Grindr marked the first time she’s performed new material from her upcoming album Confessions II, due out on July 3. in addition to ‘Love Sensation,’ the superstar singer/songwriter treated the crowd to ‘I Feel So Free’ and ‘Bring Your Love,’ (her Sabrina Carpenter duet,) and fan favorites ‘Hung Up,’ ‘Get Together’ and ‘I Love New York,’ from Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Courtesy of Grindr’s first-ever livestream, the NYC gig streamed globally as fans around the world joined the street-party atmosphere as Times Square became a full-scale rave.

Ever since April, when the ?-year old pop idol made a surprise appearance at a West Hollywood club and producer Stuart Price teased a snippet during his DJ set, ‘Love Sensation’ has been building hype.

True to her legendary repertoire, Madonna’s latest run of dance anthems is already dominating the charts as ‘I Feel So Free’ went #1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart, and ‘Bring Your Love’ tops the UK Club Chart.
