Madonna Slams Donald Trump

On Tuesday (1.28,) after Donald Trump signed a controversial executive order titled Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness, restricting transgender people from enlisting and serving openly in the military, rescinding an order made by former President Joe Biden in 2021, Madonna slammed the U.S. President Donald Trump‘s administration for its anti-LGBTQ+ agenda.

All within his first week back in the White House, Trump also rolled back on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the armed services.

Taking to her X account, the superstar singer/songwriter posted a selfie showing her with a stoic expression and a furry coat pulled over her head, along with the caption:

“It’s so sad to watch our new Government slowly dismantling all the Freedoms we have been fighting for and WON over the years. Don’t give up the Fight!” adding an LGBTQ+ rainbow flag and broken red heart emojis.

Not the first time Madonna, a long-time advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, has spoken out against Trump, after his 2024 presidential election win last November, the now 66-year-old took to Instagram to post a photo of a cake with the words “F**k Trump” written across the top, adding:

“Stuffed my face with this cake last night.” “Trying to get my head around why a convicted felon, rapist, bigot was chosen to lead our country because he’s good for the economy?”

Born Madonna Louise Ciccone, the queen of pop also shared a post to her feed with the caption, “I woke up this morning and the first thought that came to my head was – America hates Women! – Not that I haven’t always felt the wrath of misogyny breathing down my neck.”

As of press time, Trump has not yet responded to Madonna’s posts.
