In a shocking and more-than-welcome moment on Thursday night, Madonna shocked fans at The Standard Hotel’s Boom Boom Room in New York by performing on the bar.
During the Boom x Pride event, the world’s most successful pop singer sang “Hung Up” and “I Don’t Search I Find” in front of an awestruck audience that included Lance Bass, Adam Lambert, Zach Quinto, and Jon Batiste. Dressed in a blue wig, red elbow-length gloves, and a provocative black leather and lace costume that revealed her breasts, Madonna told the ecstatic attendees “To not celebrate pride without people would have been a tragedy for me… “Don’t take anything for granted because you never know what’s around the corner for all of us…Teach yourself to love yourself.”
Madonna and Quinto auctioned off Polaroids for two LGBTQ support organizations, the Ali Forney Center and the Haus of US, each of whom committed a personal gift of $25,000
