One month since Madonna was released from the hospital after suffering from a severe bacterial infection, on Sunday (7.30,) the superstar entertainer feels “lucky to be alive” and discussed her children’s support.
Captioning a series of photos of 26-year-old daughter Lourdes and 17-year-old son David, the artist (born Madonna Louise Ciccone) wrote:
“Love from family and friends is the best Medicine,” “As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving (sic).” “But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference.”
Now 64-years old, Madonna also posted a photo of herself holding a framed Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol, showing artist Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s face painted on it, adding:
“I sobbed when I opened this gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone.” “Thank you @guyoseary for this gift!” “And Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work (sic)!”
Due to recent health scare, Madonna will now begin her Celebration Tour in Europe in October as the U.S. leg, which was due to start in mid-July, has been rescheduled.
