During her weekend concert at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington Madonna suffered a fall on stage.
While singing her classic 1986 hit ‘Open Your Heart,’ the music icon was seen falling backwards from a chair after one of her backup dancers seemed to trip, according to several videos that were shared on social media.
Not one to let a slight misstep get in her way, the superstar singer/songwriter (born Madonna Louise Ciccone) made a quick recovery from the fall, rolled onto her front, and continued to sing as she laughed off the incident.
Not the first time the Queen of Pop lost her footing while on stage, during the 2015 Brit Awards, she fell down a set of stairs in the middle of her performance of her song ‘Living for Love’ after suffering a wardrobe malfunction.
Launched in October of 2023, Madonna is now in the middle of the North American and Canadian leg of The Celebration Tour, and is next scheduled to perform at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, Canada on Wednesday (2.21.) In celebration of her 40-year career, the tour will wrap on 26 April at the Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City.
