Luke Combs Drops Out of Pre Super Bowl Concert

With his wife expecting baby number three any day now, Luke Combs has cancelled his performance at a pre-Super Bowl concert.

On Thursday (2.05,) organizers of EA Sports’ Madden Bowl confirmed that the country music singer would no longer hit the stage at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California on Friday night. Adding that they replaced Combs with fellow country star Zach Bryan, the organization took to Instagram with:

“Update: Luke has to hold it down at home with a new one on the way.” “All love for Luke and his family – and we can’t wait to put on an unforgettable #MaddenBowl with @zachlanebryan leading an incredible night of music and football for the fans.”

Apologizing to his fans for dropping out of the show, named after EA Sports’ American football video game series Madden NFL, the 35-year-old superstar singer/songwriter took to his Instagram Stories account with “So sorry to miss y’all at Madden Bowl, but family always comes first,” he wrote. “Have a great time.”

In place of Combs, on Friday (2.06,) Bryan will perform alongside Teddy Swims, Stephen Wilson Jr., Gavin Adcock and LaRussell, two days before Sunday’s Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in nearby Santa Clara, California.

When the Madden Bowl line-up was originally announced in early January, Luke said that “playing Madden has been something I’ve always done” so it was “a no-brainer” to say yes to an offer to perform at the Madden Bowl.

Luke Combs currently shares sons Tex, (3,) and Beau, (2) with his wife Nicole, whom he married in 2020.
