Following a social media post from the singer, Lorde fans are buzzing about a potential new full length.
On Thursday (8.10) the internationally acclaimed musician (born Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor) uploaded a series of images to Instagram showing the New Zealand star swimming in Oslo, Norway with “After the show we went swimming… these times are beautiful and they freak me out and there’s so much to tell you.” “No this is not the start of anything out there, just want u to know there’s a light on inside me… show it to you soon.”
Following the online information, the 26-year old’s post prompted Lorde’s 10.5 million followers to speculate about the singer’s furtive way of teasing what could be her fourth LP.
“ik you pregnant with L4, admit it,” one Instagram user commented, while another joked, “‘this is not the start of anything’ me when I lie.”
Earlier this year, Lorde confirmed that she was working on her follow-up to 2021’s Solar Power, and in February, she told Ensemble magazine “It has taken me quite a while (to start working on it).” “I mean, I do just take a long time… I do a lot of research, I write a lot down.” While the singer opted not to reveal any specific plans about the full length in 2023, she did say that “anything could happen”.
