This weekend’s Saturday Night Live musical guest was Lil Yachty who started his two-song stint with “the BLACK seminole.”
The opening song from his January-released Let’s Start Here full length, the rapper (born Miles Parks McCollum) was joined by singer-songwriter Diana Gordon along with a full band on the stage that reflected a nighttime Florida swamp.
Yachty’s second SNL performance of the night – also with Gordon – was of “drive ME crazy!” from the same album.
At the end of this month, Yachty is scheduled to perform at the Pharrell Williams Something in the Water festival in Virginia Beach, and in August he’s slated to make a string of festival appearances starting with Lollapalooza.
