When he unexpectedly passed away on October 16, reports have confirmed that Liam Payne had several types of drugs in his body, including pink cocaine.
According to a partial autopsy, it is believed that the former One Direction member had “multiple substances in his system”, sources have told ABC News who reported that one of the substances found in Payne’s system was “pink cocaine.”
A relatively new designer drug made up of ketamine, MDMA (ecstasy), methamphetamine, and opioids, along with other psychoactive substances, Pink Cocaine originated from Colombia where it is usually dyed pink with food coloring, and oft times has a sweet, strawberry-like smell.
At the time of his fatal fall from a third floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, it is also believed the 31-year-old singer had cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack in his system
According to ABC News, there was “an improvised aluminium pipe” used to ingest drugs found in Liam’s hotel room, while TMZ reported police also found a bottle of alcohol and prescription medications, including anti-anxiety medication.
At press time it is believed the singer’s body will remain in Argentina until the autopsy is complete, and that his father Geoff, who has flown to Argentina to escort his son’s body home, will not leave the country until his son’s death is confirmed “scientifically.”
Liam Payne leaves behind a seven-year-old son, Bear, who she shares with ex-girlfriend, Cheryl Cole.
