On Saturday Lana Del Rey revealed that her latest album Blue Banisters, which had previously been scheduled for a July 4th release, would not be available to her fans.
Taking to Instagram the Interscope recording artist stated: “Album to be released later… Single out as quickly as possible… Have a good fourth x,” alongside a sneak peek at a new song’s music video.
In a follow-up post that included the new LP cover, which has the singer seated next to two dogs on an outside deck, Del Ray added, “TBD,” to the release date. Blue Banisters, which has yet to be publicly confirmed by Del Rey’s label, would’ve been the artist’s third album within a years time, following Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass in July 2020 and Chemtrails Over the Country Club in March 2021.
In May, Del Rey debuted three tracks from the new full length including “Blue Banisters,” “Text Book,” and “Wildflower Wildfire,” which was co-written and produced by Kanye West collaborator Mike Dean.
