Recent Billboard cover star and 2024 CMA and ACM entertainer of the year, Lainey Wilson is prepped and ready for the release of her upcoming album Whirlwind.
Scheduled for an August 23 release date on BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, on Tuesday (6.25,) the superstar singer/songwriter revealed the LP’s track list that confirms Wilson’s collaboration with fellow country artist Miranda Lambert.
Having performed together during Lainey’s Las Vegas concert in December, Whirlwind features Lambert on the song “Good Horses,” which Lainey captioned on her Instagram post “Writing & recording these 14 songs over the past couple of years has helped me stay grounded in ways you’d never believe.” “This album brought me back to my roots and made me feel at home during times when I couldn’t have been further away and my biggest hope is that it gives you that same sense of comfort that it has for me.”
In addition to her Lambert alliance, the forthcoming full length includes “4x4xU,” her new song that she performed at her headlining show at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville to kick off her Country’s Cool Again Tour, and also during her recent Bluebird Cafe performance in Nashville, where the multi-Grammy award winner joined Post Malone, Ernest and songwriter Ashley Gorley.
