In the just-released trailer for Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, Lainey Wilson discussed fertility and the desire to freeze her eggs.
Addressing her interest in one day becoming a mother, the country music superstar said she feels “called to be a mama” adding “sometimes the Lord just has other plans… I’m gonna freeze my eggs in April, put them babies on ice.”
Released on Wednesday (4.07.) the Netflix documentary teaser featured the the 33-year old musician sitting in a hospital gown and a with a moment of her lying in a hospital bed with fiancé, Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges.
Discussing why she decided to make the project at this stage in her career, the Tennessee native said:
“It is a whirlwind. The performer, the artist, the songwriter, the girl who’s going to shake everybody’s hand.” “I think it is important to show people that I don’t have my s**t all together. I am thankful for the life that I live. It’s about celebrating what we are given. It is a gift. This is all a gift. People keep saying country’s cool again. Well, I say it never stopped being cool. The world just caught up.”
According the streaming giant’s synopsis, Netflix officials promise the documentary will show a different side of the singer to fans:
“Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool follows Wilson as she redefines what it means to be a modern country star, proving that staying true to yourself can lead to major success.” “The film captures a pivotal moment in her career, exploring the country icon’s personal journey and chronicling her struggles and triumphs as she captivates fans on stage across the country,” read the log line.
In 2024, Wilson dropped Whirlwind, her fifth studio album, was on tour for much of the past year, and also made her movie debut in the romance drama, Reminders of Him, last month.
Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool will be released on April 22.
