On Wednesday night (10.25,) Lady Gaga made a surprise guest during U2‘s Las Vegas performance.
During one of their residency shows at the Sphere, Bono invited the superstar chanteuse onto their turntable-style stage, describing her as “the most audacious, vivacious woman in any room she’s ever in”, adding “Would you welcome to our turntable, the divine – the divinyl! – Lady Gaga.”
Gaga joined the iconic Irish band for duets of their songs, ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’ and ‘All I Want Is You,’ as well as her own ‘Shallow’ single from her 2018 movie, A Star is Born.
According to reliable sources, in the middle of their duet, Bono said “Take it to the Elvis chapel… You are the vestal virgin of Las Vegas!”
On September 29, U2 opened the new state-of-the-art Sphere venue with their U2:UV Achtung Baby residency, as Gaga completed the last leg of her Jazz & Piano residency at Dolby Live inside Park MGM earlier this month.
Not the first time the superstars performed together, Lady performed ‘Ordinary Love’ with U2 during a 2015 show at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Lady Gaga’s duet with U2 follows her October 19 ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’ performance with The Rolling Stones during a surprise 25-minute concert in New York. The collaboration appears on the band’s new album, Hackney Diamonds.
