The follow up to her 2020, chart-topping LP, Chromatica, Lady Gaga has confirmed that the first single from her seventh studio album will be released in October.
The superstar singer/songwriter/actress took to Instagram with the news, where she uploaded an image of a piece of stationery from the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, where she’s been attending the city’s film festival. Though the actual post itself had no caption, written words on the paper revealed a rundown of engagements for the singer, with the list titled, “VFF Itinerary for Madame Lady Gaga.”
The information confirmed a “Warner Brothers welcome dinner” on Tuesday (9.03,) attending the “World Premiere & Press conference” for Joker: Folie à Deux on Wednesday (9.04) and a press junket for the film on Thursday (9.04.)
Additional events listed as “Important dates” included October 4 for her Joker sequel to hit cinemas, while a second mystery date, listed only as “XX October”, declared, “LG7 first single” – teasing the lead single of her seventh LP will be released next month.
Her latest musical update follows Gaga’s recent surprise single, ‘Die With a Smile’ with Bruno Mars.
Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, the singer revealed that the collaboration will not be included in the new album, writing “I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day (Bruno) asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making.”
