Attracting an estimated live audience of 2,500,000 on May 4 , Lady Gaga made history during the monumental free concert on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach, setting the all-time record for the largest concert attendance by a female artist.
Transforming the world renowned beach into a sea of Little Monsters, many of whom traveled across continents to witness the superstar singer/songwriter’s electrifying performance, the event is now one of the biggest music happenings in modern history.
Marking another high point in Gaga’s already Herculean career, the Brazilian show followed the musician’s acclaimed headlining sets at Coachella and a collection of sold-out stadium shows in Mexico City. Be it her theatrical flair, powerhouse vocals, and/or signature genre-defying energy, the singer/actress (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) mesmerized the massive Rio crowd with a set packed with hits, high fashion, and raw emotion.
Prior to kicking off The MAYHEM Ball world tour across North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia throughout the summer and fall, the now 39-year old artist will make a stop in Singapore.
