Kygo Teases Coldplay Collab

Superstar deejay/producer/artist Kygo has revealed plans to create a song with Coldplay.

While the now 33-year-old Norwegian musician has collaborated with the band’s frontman, Chris Martin in 2022 on ‘The Astronaut’ featuring the vocals of BTS singer Jin.Kygo, the international artist (born Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll) has never worked with the UK band as a whole.

If the über-successful EDM artist gets his wish in 2025, he will be creating a collaborative single with the group as part of his bucket list.

In an interview with The Sun in England, Kygo said:

“One of my goals since I started, was to have a song with Coldplay” adding “We don’t have any songs right now but hopefully it’ll happen.”

Discussing how his 2019 re-production of the Whitney Houston classic, ‘Higher Love’ came to be, Kygo said of the singer’s estate:

“They actually reached out to me. They had this version of Higher Love that they never officially released, and they wanted a new version of it. I got the stems for it and I made my version of it and they loved it.”

Other superstar artists Kygo has worked with include Rita Ora, OneRepublic, Tina Turner and Donna Summer.
