Kodak Black Arrested On Cocaine Charges

According to AP, rapper Kodak Black was arrested on cocaine possession charges in South Florida,

Per the Associated Press, the Broward County jail booked the musician (born Bill Kapri,) into custody on Thursday (12.07,) charging him with improperly stopping or parking his vehicle, cocaine possession, and tampering with evidence. NBC Miami reported Black bailed out of jail on Thursday night.

Not the first time the artist has been in trouble with the law, in January of 2021 on his last full day in office, then President Donald Trump commuted Black’s 46-month prison sentence for falsifying information on federal forms to buy firearms. Supported by Gucci Mane, Lil Pump and Lil Yachty, the pardon listed Kodak’s philanthropic endeavors, including regularly handing out school supplies and food to Florida residents in need.

The embattled rapper previously served seven months in a Florida prison on charges of marijuana possession, child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Additionally, he was previously charged with weapons possession, armed robbery, sexual assault, probation violations, and fleeing from officers.

After testing positive for fentanyl in a drug test while awaiting trial for charges relating to drug trafficking in February of this year, a judge ordered the musician to enter a drug rehabilitation facility in March.

In November, Kodak Black released the music video for “Lemme See” from his sixth studio album, When I Was Dead, featuring WizDaWizard, Wam SpinThaBin, and OG Bobby Billions. In 2018, he garnered his first Number One on the Billboard 200 as the Florida rapper’s second LP Dying to Live debut atop the album chart.
