Less than twelve months since the Killers released their last LP Pressure Machine, the pop/rock group debuted their new track “Boy” on Thursday (7.07) during their recent set at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival.
Though the group had originally planned to premiere the song during an Instagram Live stream of their festival performance, when technical difficulties arose the Killers opted to shared the entire performance of the Erasure-infused new-wave single via social media.
While an official release date is yet to be announced, the Killers already shared a pre-save link to add “Boy” to streaming services.
Front man Brandon Flowers and company have quickened their recording schedule in recent years with 2021’s Pressure Machine arriving a week shy of the one-year anniversary of their previous album, 2020’s Imploding the Mirage.
Earlier this year, ahead of their world tour, the Killers dropped “The Getting By II,” a reimagined version of their Pressure Machine track “The Getting By” from the deluxe edition of that LP.
