Kid Rock Praises Trump

Kid Rock has revealed his friendship with U.S. President Donald Trump gives him a “front-row seat” to politics.

In a new interview for Sky News for the documentary, Trump’s America: 250 Years in the Making, host Paul Murray asked the singer-songwriter, real name Robert Ritchie, about his connection with the American leader.

In response, Rock described Trump as “f**king awesome” and shared that the president will text him randomly.

“It’s one of my late-night drinking tricks because I know when to get him,” he said. “He’s so gracious, he always picks up or he’ll call and check in just to shoot the s**t. He’s not calling me to (ask), ‘Hey, what should we do in Iran, Bob?’ I don’t get those calls. But, if I’m sitting around having some beers if it’s like 11, 12, on a Friday or Saturday, I know he’s up. He sleeps like me, he sleeps five hours.”

As for his support for Trump, the All Summer Long hitmaker noted that he is a fan of the 80-year-old’s leadership style.

“I enjoy the hell out of hanging out with him and talking with him and just having a front row seat to the greatest s**t show on earth,” the 55-year-old continued.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Rock defended Trump against claims that he makes “so much money”.

“No s**t, cause he’s a f**ing businessman, he’s smart,” he mused. “He did that before he was President, and I know his heart and soul. His concern is for this country, period. This country first and I think every leader in any country should be that for their country.”

In February, the Picture artist featured in the All-American Halftime Show, which Trump branded as an alternative to the mega-popular Super Bowl Halftime Show headlined by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny.
