On Sunday at Coachella, Kesha updated the lyrics to her hit Tik Tok single to reflect the ongoing legal issues surrounding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
It was at her surprise appearance during Reneé Rapp‘s set in California, that Kesha sang the updated lyrics to her 2009 debut single.
Instead of singing, “Wake up in the morning feelin’ like P. Diddy,” Kesha and Reneé sang, “Wake up in the morning like f**k P. Diddy,” as they held up their middle fingers.
Following the performance, Kesha took to her X/Twitter account with “WAKE UP IN THE MORNING LIKE F**K P DIDDY.”
Born Kesha Rose Sebert, Kesha’s updated lyrics addressed ongoing sexual abuse allegations against Combs who, since November, has been hit with five sexual assault lawsuits. As part of their investigation into alleged sex trafficking, in March federal agents raided the superstar rapper’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami.
During her Coachella introduction, Rapp, who previously performed with Kesha in Brooklyn in November, praised her co-star telling the audience, “Ladies and gentlemen, this, I think, is the hottest person on the earth. Everybody put your f**king hands together for Kesha.”
Reneé’s set also featured surprise appearances from The L Word cast, including Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey, and her musician girlfriend Towa Bird.
