In addition to crushing the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend, Kelly Clarkson took some time to herself and explored the famous Nevada strip.
The multi-hyphenate singer took to TikTok and shared a clip of herself singing the Tina Turner classic, “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” with a street performer who, at first glance, did not recognize the superstar singer/songwriter. Once the busker realized that it was Clarkson holding the mic, she was blown away as she wrapped her arms around the talk show host for a hug.
“I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas and was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner and then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was, and then it hit her, and it made my day! She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off! See ya tonight Vegas,” captioned Clarkson in her social media video.
Clarkson is fresh off the release of the deluxe version of Chemistry, her 10th album that contains five brand new songs – including “I Won’t Give Up,” “Did You Know,” “You Don’t Make Me Cry” featuring her daughter River Rose, “Goodbye” and “Roses” – in addition to remixes of the album singles “Mine” and “Favorite Kind of High” by David Guetta and Ty Sunderland respectively. There’s also a live version of “Mine” live from The Belasco.
Clarkson’s first non-holiday and/or non-covers LP since she and ex-husband Brandon Blackstock finalized their divorce, Chemistry was initially released on June 23 and debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200.
