Keanu Reeves’ Dogstar Announces New LP

Reuniting in 2023 with bandmates Robert Mailhouse and Bret Domrose for their first shows in more than two decades, followed by their last LP, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, Keanu Reeves “couldn’t f***** wait” to get back in the recording studio with Dogstar.

Despite the superstar thespian’s busy 2025 working on new movies and making his Broadway debut in Waiting for Godot with Bill and Ted co-star Alex Winter, Reeves found time to pick up his bass again with the act’s May release of All in Now.

In a statement about the project Keanu said “We couldn’t f****** wait. Personally, I loved it all. For me, the attitude was like, ‘let’s work hard and let’s GO.’ “

“The album really sets up the energy at the heart of this album and the fun that we’ve always had playing together,” added Mailhouse.

Posting a video for the LP’s first single title track, Dogstar will be going on tour in the United States to support the release, and taking to Instagram, they wrote:

“ALL IN NOW New album. New single. New tour.” “We’re so excited to announce our new album All In Now! Out worldwide on May 29th. Limited edition signed glass clear vinyl available in our Shop.” “Watch the music video of the title track now.” “Pre-sale for the All In Now: North American Tour starts Tuesday, March 10th at 10am local. Concurrent with the album’s release, Dogstar will play two shows in California before heading to Europe, then returning for the North American in August.

It was in 1996 that Dogstar released Our Little Visionary, their freshman album, followed by Happy Ending four years later. However, after Reeves’ acting career hit another high with his role as Neo in The Matrix, the group disbanded around 2002

In 2023, the duo played their first official gig in twenty years at BottleRocket festival, having reunited the previous year for a private gig “for the incredible people who made our new album possible”.

At the time of the festival set, they wrote on Instagram:

“Thank you everyone for the kind comments. We are overjoyed to see such a response. Honestly, didn’t expect this. It makes us want to play out even more.” “We will be rolling out some new music this summer, followed by some gigs. As soon as it’s all figured out we will let everyone know immediately.” “So much to do, but rest assured, we are on it and have assembled a fantastic team that are helping us.”

Preempting their third LP Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, in the summer of ’23 they released their ‘Everything Turns Around’ single, and at the time they said “We are so excited to re-introduce Dogstar with our new single Everything Turns Around.” “It feels like a fun summer song to us. It has an uplifting message and a positive vibe that hopefully makes your day a little bit lighter. “It’s one of our favorite songs to play live and can’t wait to share it on our upcoming tour.”
