Selling more than 1,000,000 tickets thus far and grossing more than $80,000,000.00 amid speculation concerning slow ticket sales, Katy Perry has confirmed enormous earnings from her The Lifetimes Tour.
With additional legs of her global trek to come in Latin America, Europe and China, the superstar singer’s earnings reflect concerts in the United States, Canada and Australia. With several months of forthcoming shows, the 40-year old’s tour is shaping up to be one of the most financially profitable of Perry’s career.
According to her team, Katy’s six China shows – including two in Hangzhou, three in Shanghai and one in Haikou – sold out within sixty seconds, and the American songstress will bring her spectacle to Europe in October, with British stops in Glasgow, Manchester and London, along with shows in Belgium, Germany, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy and more.
Perry’s current tour comes at a tough time in her personal life as she and partner Orlando Bloom confirmed their breakup in July following nine years as a couple. Additionally, the pop star’s apparent budding romance with former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau has already “cooled off”, according to the Daily Mail in England.
