Together for nine years and engaged for six, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have supposedly ended their relationship.
A source close to the former celebrity couple told Us Weekly, “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable.” “It’s not contentious at the moment.”
The 40-year old singer, and 48-year old actor have not been living under the same roof since Katy’s Lifetimes tour began in April.
According to the source, Perry, who shares four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with Orlando, was relieved to have ended the engagement as it meant she would avoid a second divorce, following her 14-month marriage from 2010 to to comedian Russell Brand.
“Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
While other outlets have suggested the couple may be on the verge of splitting but had not yet committed to a decision, another source told People “They’re pretty much done. It’s been breaking down the last couple of months and isn’t looking good.” “I don’t really see them being able to turn things around here.”
