In response to a man who allegedly kept showing up at her California home, Katy Perry has now been granted a permanent restraining order.
In the middle of June, the superstar singer filed for a restraining order against Ross Elliott Hedrick, and on Monday (7.14,) her request was granted by the judge.
After the 43-year old intruder allegedly turned up at her Santa Barbara property several times in May, Perry sought protection from the courts. The allegedly homeless man was arrested after his first unwanted visit, but returned a week later.
According to legal documents, Katy’s security people claimed that Hedrick appeared to have an aerosol can and a lighter during his first uninvited appearance, and threw a blanket over the security gate on his second visit. Screenshots from Perry’s Ring doorbell camera appeared to show the intrude on the property.
Representatives for the security company confirmed concerns about Hedrick including a significant chance Hedrick would continue showing up at the property.
On June 18, when the singer initially filed her restraining order request, she asked the court to order Hedrick to stay at least 100 yards away from her, her “partner” Orlando Bloom and her homes.
