Following many months of conjecture, it appears that Katy Perry is, indeed, dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Seen kissing and cuddling off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, aboard Perry’s yacht, the Caravelle, on Sunday (10.12,) England’s The Mail reported that the superstar singer appeared embracing and kissing the former politician on the upper deck, as tourists on a whale-watching boat passed by – and took photographs.
It was in July that the celebrity couple kicked off speculation about a budding romance when they were spotted having an intimate dinner at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal.
The current report comes some three months after Perry confirmed her split from British actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy.
Until stepping down earlier this year, Trudeau was Canada’s prime minister for a decade, and after 18 years of marriage, he an wife Sophie ended their relationship in August of 2023. Together they share two sons, aged 18 and 11, and a daughter who is 16.
At press time, Perry and Trudeau have declined to comment on their relationship status.
