Following several months of disconcerting public images and introspective online messages, Justin Bieber has posted a collection of cryptic messages concerning his thoughts, concerns, and fears.
On Friday (5.09,) the now 31-year-old Canadian took to Instagram to share a string of posts, including “I’m just an average, flawed guy. I’ve done things that have hurt others. I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally.”
Adding that he woke up one morning hoping to grow, and be less selfish, the superstar singer/songwriter said that he’s is on a path of self-improvement, writing “I sometimes think I’m gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am. Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn’t like me or trust me.”
Suggesting fears of “disqualified from the dreams I had of being included” if he became honest about his selfish thoughts, the new father feels more “free” when he is honest in life.
The chart-topping musician addressed mornings where he feels “optimistic” and others where he feels “pessimistic,” he leans on his faith to find strength, sayng “I’ve been really asking god to help me see the best in people, even after being used in the way I have.”
“Once again, it’s Easier to point the finger than it is to take ownership. It’s easy to say damn their greedy rather than to check the greed in our own hearts.” “Only god can remove the greed and selfishness from our hearts. Trying harder won’t work, cuz I tried,” concluded Justin.
