Jon Bon Jovi expressed his delight over becoming a grandfather for the first time after his son, Jake Bongiovi, and his wife, actress Millie Bobby Brown, announced they had adopted a baby girl.
During Sunday’s (9.21) preview of his interview for the Dumb Blonde Podcast, host Bunnie Xo asked the Bon Jovi frontman what it’s like being a grandparent.
“It’s crazy, but great. Wonderful.” “They adopted a girl, we met the baby, obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? Your baby.” “It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day.” “I’m that pain in the butt guy already, and, yeah, it’s cool,” replied the now 63-year old singer/songwriter.
Admitting that he’s always asking Jake and Millie for updates on his granddaughter, Jon also recalled how he and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, gave Jake and the superstar actress their “blessing” to marry even though they were young at the time.
“We blessed it because we get it, you know?” “They’re sorta mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young. (Millie) and Jake fell in love and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this.’ And it’s working out,” shared Jon.
Jake (23,) and Millie (21,) got engaged in April of 2023 and were married in a private ceremony a year later, before hosting a larger event in Tuscany, Italy in September 2024.
