Due to “personal circumstances,”Jon Batiste has abruptly cancelled several upcoming August concerts in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
Slated to perform at the New Haven Westville Music Bowl in Connecticut on Thursday, the TD Pavilion at Highmark Mann in Philadelphia on Friday and Forest Hills Stadium in New York on Saturday, the superstar singer/songwriter did not provide a reason for the last minute scrapped shows.
On Wednesday (8.12) in a joint social media message shared by the Westville Music Bowl and TD Pavilion, Batiste explained that he is navigating “some personal circumstances,” adding:
“Hello! As I navigate some personal circumstances, I unfortunately need to cancel a portion of my upcoming performance dates including at the Westville Music Bowl on August 13th.” “As we continue the rollout and release of my new albums, Monk Meditations and Monk Movements, my team and I are finding new ways and opportunities to share live music with you.” “There’s much more to come, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
Concluding with “Thank you for your understanding and continued support.” “I truly can’t wait to come back and perform for you soon,” the Grammy award winner told fans that “refunds will be available” and thanked them for their ongoing support.
While the 39-year-old opted not to reveal information concerning the personal circumstances he’s dealing with, according to his official website, Batiste’s shows scheduled for Ohio, Virginia and Georgia later this month appear to still be going ahead.
