In lieu of pending sexual abuse allegations and the social media controversy surrounding Armie Hammer, fellow actor Josh Duhamel will star opposite Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding.
Scheduled for a June 29, 2022 release, Duhamel (known best for his roll in Transformers) will play J-Lo’s love interest in the forthcoming romantic comedy that will also feature Jennifer Coolidge, Lenny Kravitz, and Cheech Marin.
Boasting some 1 million likes the below Instagram post features the newly-single Lopez (since her split with former Yankee Alex Rodriguez) in a form-fitting beige shirt while Josh is wielding a salmon tuxedo with bloody sleeves and undone black bowtie, and a cut above his left eye.
Directed by Jason Moore and produced by fellow thespian Ryan Reynolds, Shotgun Wedding follows Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel) after their near-perfect destination wedding is thrown for a loop in a mix of cold feet and guests caught up in a hostage situation. Watch in Summer 2022 as they fight for their love and their lives.
Released by Lionsgate Entertainment, the movie company giant has also announced that follow up films The Protege and White Bird: A Wonder Story will be released August 20, 2021 and September 16, 2020 respectively.
